LGT Base Rack: Installation & Operation

Installation

Parts Included:

Qty Description

2 Cross Bars, 1.125” x 16 Gauge Round Tubing, Galvanized

(Length is 72” or 59”, depending on model purchased)

4 Plastic End Caps

4 Z Brackets, 7” height

8 3/8” Spring Nuts (4 are pre-installed)

8 1” x 3/8” Hex Bolt (4 are pre-installed)

8 3/8 Flat Washer (4 are pre-installed) Tool Needed

8 3/8 Split Ring Washer (4 are pre-installed) 9/16” Wrench

Step 1: Install Z Brackets in C Channel Track

Insert Spring Nut into track. Place Z Bracket, with the vertical rise to the outside

edge of the track, on top of Spring Nut. Position Flat Washer, followed by Split Ring

Washer, followed by Hex Bolt through holes and tighten. Repeat on remaining three Z

Brackets.

Step 2: Bolt Cross Bars to Z Bracket

Connection hardware is pre-installed to the Cross Bars. Remove Bolt and Washers,

and position Bar over top of Z Bracket and align holes. Reinstall Flat Washer, Split Ring

Washer, and Bolt. Tighten with wrench. Repeat on remaining three Z Brackets.

Operation

The LittleGiant Trailer Base Rack’s load weight rating is 250 lbs. Do not overload.

Slide Cross Bars along track to position where desired.

LGT Rack may be used in tandem with the LittleBig Tarp™ expandable tonneau cover.

Wrap cover around Z Brackets as shown. The LGT Rack positios 7 inches above the

trailer bed.

Mount a range of devices to the Cross Bars, such as bike trays and kayak holders.

The Cross Bars are compatible with 1.125” Yakima and Thule tray mounts for

rooftop racks with 1.125” round tubing. Equipments may also be secured to

LGT Base Rack using a range of strapping materials widely available at local retail.
